College Football Week 1: What to Watch For

College Football is finally here, and Thursday night Miami, Ohio State and South Carolina all showed that they’re ready. Miami looks like they’re not only ready to take the ACC, but seriously contend for a BCS National Title. Ohio State, a team always in the running for a BCS National Title, took care of their opening game in convincing fashion, as did South Carolina. USC opened up on Thursday night and it wasn’t their offense that looked lackluster, it was the defense. But in week 1 of the college football season, Thursday night was just the icebreaker and there is more to look forward to over the next 4 days. Hair Insured for $1 Million….in the NFL

Pittsburgh Steelers safety Troy Polamalu will be back on the field in 2010, and his hair, which has become a staple for him, will be insured for $1 million dollars. Head and Shoulders, the shampoo brand who sponsors Troy Polamalu, took out the insurance claim through Lloyd’s of London. What was not release by any statement through Lloyd’s of London or by Head and Shoulders is what would have to happen to Polamalu’s hair for anyone to collect the policy.
